Writers
A resident of Vancouver, BC, Beth Stewart has been writing and story editing for television for over ten years. In 2002 she created and co-executive produced Guinevere Jones, a 26 episode series for YTV and Australia’s Ten Network for which she won a 2003 Writers Guild of Canada Top Ten Award and a 2003 Blizzard Award for best writing in TV or film. Guinevere Jones also received a 2003 Gemini nomination for Best Youth Series. Beth’s other writing and story editing credits include: Tagged: The Jonathan Wamback Story (an MOW for CTV for which she was nominated for a 2002 Gemini for best writing in a dramatic program); Edgemont V (CBC); The Magician’s House (BBC/CTV, winner of an International Emmy for best youth program); the award-winning YTV series The Adventures of Shirley Holmes (Beth won a WGC Top Ten Award for her episode The Maestro’s Ghost); and Madison (Global). In 2004, Beth had two of her spec feature scripts optioned: The Boathouse (Studio Eight) and Chumps (Fast Films/Raymond Massey). Chumps has received funding from the Harold Greenburg Fund. Beth is currently Executive Story Consultant and Head Writer for the Global TV series Falcon Beach.
